What is NDIS Plan Management?

Plan management is a type of service funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to assist participants manage the funding in their NDIS plan. This includes managing the financial transactions and administration of your NDIS budget.

- Ways your NDIS plan can be managed -

Self-Managed
This is when a participant is directly responsible for managing their NDIS funds including paperwork and payments to providers. The NDIS will directly reimburse the participant.
Agency managed
This is when a participant chooses to use the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to manage their NDIS funds. The NDIA will directly pay NDIS registered providers for supports provided.
Plan Managed
This is when a participant selects an NDIS Plan Manager provider such as iFit Group to assist with managing their NDIS funds. Similar to being self-managd, engaging a Plan Manager provides participants increased choice and control over how funds are spent, enabling you the flexibility to choose NDIS-registered as well as non-registered providers. An advantage plan-management has over self-management is the reduction of administrative burden on you, the participant, thus enabling you to focus on achieving your goals and engaging in the best supports and providers for your unique circumstances.
